Hello, I am Julia Calis and I am a Media Designer from The Netherlands. I am based in Bergen, Norway, and I currently work with UX/UI and Game Design primarily. However, I also have past work experience in the Film Industry and am also skilled with Sound Design, After Effects, Logo Design and Research.

Internship Film Industry
Ever since a teenager it had been my dream to move to Norway (Bergen). When I found an internship in my work-field in Bergen I took the chance and finished this internship successfully in collaboration with my University.
Bachelor in Science - Media Designer
This period marks the time when I graduated high-school and I finish(ed) my Bachelor Degree in Applied Sciences as a designer at Saxion University in Enschede NL.

Internship Game Company
During my time in Norway for my first internship I noticed the joy I found living in bergen (NO). I actively searched to do a second internship within the work-field to be able to network and stay in Bergen. SCG accepted me as an intern and I had another successful experience where I also was able to network more than expected.

During my internship with SCG I got to network and connect with "Loyco", also based in Bergen (NO). Firstly, I worked for Loyco through my internship from June to the end of July. After July, both the company and I had interest to keep working together which we have been doing since August 2024 which I feel grateful for.

As a side job, next to my studies and other work, I have worked for the central library as an "organisation help" from November 2021 up to March 2025 (which is when I made my move back to Bergen).
